Mrs. Janice Poe Conway, 75, of Gibsonville, NC, passed away on Saturday evening, July 16, 2022, at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Alamance, NC after a short illness.

Born on November 26, 1946, in Elk Creek, VA, Janice was the daughter of Dale and Retha Elliott Poe who preceded her in death.  She was raised in Elk Creek and graduated from Independence High School. She was a devoted member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Janice celebrated a successful career within the Virginia court system, retiring after 40 years of service. She formed many cherished friendships from her travels across the Commonwealth of Virginia. She loved her family deeply, always concerned about their well-being. She had a caring heart, always putting others needs before her own. She loved her precious dogs, Misty and Joy, always taking them with her when she traveled.

She is survived by her husband Jim Conway of Gibsonville, NC; brother Edward Poe of Christiansburg, VA; Nephew Dale Poe of Lakewood Ranch, FL; Niece April Craig and husband Bill Craig of Morrisville, NC; grandnephews Christopher Poe & Sean Craig; grandnieces Danielle Poe, Emily Poe & Madison Craig; great-grandnephew Liam Poe; as well as beloved cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Elk Creek, VA.
