Jerry Leon Hall, Sr. age, 77, of Elk Creek, VA passed away at his sister's home in Galax, VA on the early hours of Feb. 6, 2025.  Jerry was born on March 8, 1947, in the Cripple Creek Community of Wythe County Virginia to Ernest Eugene and Helen Mae Simmerman Hall.  He will be remembered as a talented and skilled mason who took great pride in his work.  He was a loving father.  He was a dedicated paw-paw and devoted brother.  In his retirement he enjoyed working with wood creating furniture and many other wood projects.  He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing and arrowhead hunting.  Jerry was a simple man who found great joy in simple things.  His humility and love of people will long be remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Genetta Cornett, three brothers, James Ralph Hall, Robert Eugene Hall, and John Lewis Hall.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Jerry Leon Hall, Jr. (Debbie) of Comers Rock, VA and Ernest 'Viv" Hall (Candice) of Galax, VA; two sisters, Rhonda Delby of Galax and Teresa and Rickey Whalen of Speedwell, VA; two brothers, Gary Wayne Hall of Max Meadows, VA and Fred Gilbert Hall (Barbara) of Max Meadows, VA; six grandchildren, Beth, Michelle, Ryan, Cole, Ricky, and Sarah; great grandchildren, Jacob, and Olivia; several special friends, nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Cripple Creek, VA. Rev. Jerry Bell will officiate.
