Jessie Nell Poe Baldwin age 78, of Wilmington, NC formerly of Independence, VA passed away on January 9, 2023, in Wilmington, NC.  She was born on November 25, 1944, in Independence, VA to Gid and Sarah Snow Poe.

Ms. Baldwin will be remembered for her love of music and her talents of singing and playing the piano.  The highlight of her summer was her annual tea parties for all the girls in the family which she delighted in hosting at the family property at Rock Creek.

Ms. Baldwin is survived by several cousins, Clinton Poe, Tracy Poe both of Wilmington, NC; Chuck Fisher, and Caleb Fisher of Lillington, NC; Kevin Burcham of Dobson, NC; sister-in-law, Pauline Baldwin of Galax, VA; special friend, Jo O'Neal of Independence, VA.

Honoring the request of Ms. Baldwin, there will be no formal funeral service and the burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Independence, VA will be private.
