In fond remembrance of Jo Ann Jones Plummer, age 82, of Piney Creek, NC passed away at Harbor Chase of Rock Hill, SC on January 31, 2024. She was born on June 24, 1941, to the late Solomon M. and Lura B. Halsey Jones in Piney Creek, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Emmit Plummer, three sisters, Lorene Bedwell, Dorothy Adams, and Iva Saltz; one brother, R.L. Jones.

Mrs. Plummer was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. After nearly 30 years of service at 5/3 Bank, she happily embraced retirement. Her life was a testament to love, family, and faith as an active member of God's Will Missionary Baptist Church in Sparta, NC. Her passion for cooking and cleaning created a home filled with warmth and love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Mrs. Plummer is survived by one son, Derrick Plummer and wife Kimberly of Rock Hill, SC; two grandchildren, Caleb Plummer and Layla Plummer both of Rock Hill, SC.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Reins~Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, VA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, 11:00 AM at Reins~Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery in Piney Creek, NC.
