Joanne Collins Hatcher, age 57, of Sparta NC died on June 26, 2019.  She was born on April 15, 1962 in Blenheim, South Carolina to Joseph Fields and Velma Jean Hayes Collins.  She was a Registered Nurse having earned her B.S. Degree in Nursing.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one brother, Jerry Collins; one sister, Susan Collins; and a nephew, Christopher Collins.

She is survived by her husband, Timmy Hatcher of Wilson, North Carolina; two sons: Blake Hatcher of Wagram, North Carolina and Dane Hatcher of Laurinburg, North Carolina; sister, Barbara Collins Brigman of Bennettsville, SC; and one brother, Larry Collins of Bennettsville, SC; special aunt, Virginia Cox; and a special cousin, Mark Ketchum.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to all those involved in the rescue efforts.  They are grateful for the outpouring of love and concern shown to them during their time of loss.

JoAnne will be remembered as a very social and uplifting person who loved people.  She especially enjoyed flowers and gardening.  She had a special love for animals, traveling, and sightseeing.

Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday July 13, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Sparta  202 South Main Street Sparta, NC 28675.  Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home In Independence, VA is serving the hatcher family.
