Joe Louis Brown Jr., age 56, of Galax, Virginia, died at his home on Tuesday, September 14, 2020.  He was born on May 27, 1964 in Washington, DC to Joe Louis Brown, Sr. and Rita Elizabeth Goins Brown who preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Mikala Brown and Richard Alley of Galax, Virginia, Brittney and Tyler Moore of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; one son, Mason Brown of Galax, Virginia; sister, Sharon Brown of Wytheville, Virginia; one brother, Alvin Brown of South Carolina; two nieces, Rickina Brown of Wytheville, Virginia and Sharron Brown of Wytheville, Virginia; one uncle, Billy Elwood Goins of Baywood, Virginia; six grandchildren;  special friend, Stephanie Hamm; Cousin, Lawrence Goins; mother of his children, Ivy Denise Brown; honorable mention, Brad Hawks; great niece and nephew, Aliah Russell and KaVion Brown also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
