John Scott Blevins, age 58, of Mouth of Wilson, VA passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Mountain Laurel Rehab and Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Rural Retreat, VA.  He was born in Arlington, VA on September 8, 1965, to Arvel Lee and Lessie Blevins.

Scott enjoyed a simple life watching wildlife, doing woodworking, and searching for four-leaf clovers.  He was a was a construction supervisor working for Vannoy Construction and Padco Excavating, INC.

He is survived by one daughter, Dacie and Josh McGhee of Chilhowie, VA: one son, Cody Lee Blevins and Tabitha Keller of Sugar Grove, VA; mother, Lessie Blevins of Mouth of Wilson, VA; sister, Phyllis Farmer of Mouth of Wilson, VA; three grandchildren, Cody Lee Blevins, Jr., Colton Hunter, and Rhiannon Blevins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Arvel Lee Blevins, Sr,; brother,  Arvel Lee Blevins, Jr.; brother-n-law, Roger Farmer; and grandson, Jude McGhee.

Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Haw Orchard Church with Elder Lundy Finley and Pastor Randy Lovelace officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
