John Junior Brown, age 49, of Fires, Virginia died on Friday evening, June 24, 2022 in Wythe County, Virginia.  He was born on December 23, 1972, in Baltimore, Maryland to Floyd Junior White and Frances Brown Dorsey.  He was a self-employed carpenter who was also a talented roofer.

He was preceded in death by his father; his son, Stephan Brown; one brother, Michael Muller; two sisters, Tina Weller and Amanda Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Nickie Lou Vaughan Brown of Fries, VA; his mother, Frances B. Dorsey of Fries, VA; stepfather, Larry Dorsey of Galax, VA; two daughters, Hailey Brown of Galax, VA and Alexis Brown of Fries, VA; three sons, Zachary Brown of Sparta, NC, Zane Brown of Galax, VA, and Mason Brown of Fries, VA; one brother, Ronnie Muller of Westminster, MD; four grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Bonds officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 prior to the funeral.   Private burial will follow in the South Fork Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Piney Creek, NC.
