Judy M. Goodson Cox of Galax, Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her home. Judy was born June 19,1947 to the late Clarence T. and Marie Liddle Goodson in Mount Airy, North Carolina.

Judy is survived by her husband Michael Cox; Daughter and Son in law Shannon and Alan Funk; Son C. Allen Hodges; Grandson Elijah and Kaitlyn Funk, and Sister Brenda K. Farmer; as well as a host of cousins.

Judy graduated from Galax High School in 1965. Judy was an avid equestrian through her childhood and early adult life. Through the work of her father she won numerous ribbons and awards with many Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration as well as many other shows. Judy was a secretary for her father while he was in business after such time she became a homemaker.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM  at Fishers Gap Cemetery in Low Gap, NC., with speaker grandson, Elijah Funk officiating.
