Judy Alice Hanks Billings, age 49, of Independence, VA died at her home on August 27, 2022.  She was born on December 16, 1972, to Belford Hanks and Bertha Jean Poole Day.

Judy loved flowers and animals.  She had a good heart and was loved by everyone.  She enjoyed the company of her friends and family and especially being with her good friend and caregiver, Shirley Ward.  She was especially fond of her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Cook of Independence, VA, Angela Cook of Sparta, NC, and Grace Naylor of Pilot Mt. NC; special friend, Grey Naylor of Independence, VA; six grandchildren; brother, Garland Hanks of Virginia; special friend and caregiver, Shirley Ward of Independence, VA.

At Judy's request there will be no public funeral service.
