Mr. Junior Clay Reedy, age 93, of Mouth of Wilson, VA., the Rugby Community, passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2024. Junior was born in Rugby, VA. August 29, 1930, to the late Annie Gaye and Luther Lee Reedy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Carolyn Mann Reedy, and his daughter, Regan Reedy Delp.

Junior was always surrounded by music throughout his life, and while he was not a musician, he was always ready to pull up a chair and listen to anybody who would perform. As a charter member of the Rugby Rescue Squad, he dedicated himself to serving and protecting his community. Beyond his community service, Junior was actively engaged with Gideons International. Junior also found great joy in his 52 Chevy. Being a family man at heart, he adored his loved ones and the close-knit bonds they shared. He loved Grayson County, and he embraced the simple joys of life, talking on his CB radio, training, and loving all dogs, vacations, visiting friends, and family, yet loving to come back to the comfort of home to feed his cows, which were always overweight!

Junior is survived by two sons, Michael Steven and wife Pat Reedy of Jonesboro, TN, Farron and wife Kathy Reedy of Norton, VA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren.  The family wishes to recognize the special caregivers who so lovingly cared for Junior in his final days, Edna Walters, Missy Burchett and Mikey Greer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Reins~Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Randy Lovelace and John Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in Rugby, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
