Kathryn Edmonds Houck, age 43, of Sparta, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019.  She was born on April 25, 1975 to William R. Bill and Janice Stephens Edmonds.  In addition to her father she was preceded in death by Father and Mother-in-law, Alvis Rex. and Geraldine "Pete" Houck.  She is survived by her husband, Rex Wayne Houck of Sparta, North Carolina; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Kaitlin Houck of Laurel Springs, North Carolina, Dylan Wade Houck of Sparta, North Carolina and Brandon Eubank of Jacksonville, North Carolina; her mother Janice Stephens Edmonds of Sparta, North  Carolina; one granddaughter, McKinley Houck of Laurel Springs, North Carolina; sister Melissa (Lisa) Edmonds of Wytheville, Virginia; brother William (Billy) Edmonds, Jr. of Wytheville, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara and Kevin Houck of Jefferson, North Carolina and Kim and Jamie Osborne of Grassy Creek, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2:00 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Wagg officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the West End Cemetery in Wytheville, Virginia.
