Kenneth William Scott, 62, of Elk Creek, VA passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at UVA Health.

Kenneth was born on August 5, 1962, and was raised in Elk Creek, VA. He attended Independence High School where he played on the basketball and tennis teams. He graduated from James Madison University with a degree in business administration and completed ROTC. He was an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. He spent his career in Information Technology and was known for always being a helping hand. He loved spending time with his family and friends while enjoying the mountain air in Grayson County.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debra Scott; his two children Drew Scott (Emily Scott) of Richmond, VA and Lee Scott of Elk Creek; and his two brothers Andrew Scott (Marcy Scott) of Raleigh, NC and Phillip Scott of Riverdale, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Miriam Scott of Elk Creek, VA.

Kenneth will be remembered for his willingness to help, his love for the Washington Redskins, and his love for his family and friends. His laughter and love were gifts to everyone who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to Mountain View Baptist Church on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11 a.m. for a celebration of life. A luncheon will be held afterwards at the Scott's home in Elk Creek.
