Larry Harding Woods, age 67, of Independence, VA died December 9, 2022, in Wythe County Hospital in Wytheville, Virginia. He was born on December 14, 1954, in Independence to Harding and Georgia Fortner Woods.  He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Dewey Ronald Woods; sister, Betty Woods.

He is survived by his mother, Georgia Woods of the home; two sisters, Bonnie and Richard Barker of Independence and Brenda and Roger Brown of Jefferson, NC; nephew, Devin and Ashley Phipps; great niece, Lyly; special friend, Ginger Halsey Joines.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Farmer officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
