Lee Roy Parsons, age 90, of Independence, Virginia, died on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at his home.  He was born on October 29, 1929.

He is survived by his wife, Lessie Parsons of the home; five sons, David Parsons of Mocksville, NC, Dennis Parsons of Winston-Salem, NC, Douglas Parsons of Charlotte, NC, DeWight Parsons, of Texas, and Donald Parsons of High Point, NC; two daughters, Pricilla Parsons of High Point, NC and Savannah King of Mt. Airy, NC; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; special nephew, Reggie Goins also survives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM.  The family will be at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday.  Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Independence, Virginia.
