Lee Warren Phipps, age 63, of Elk Creek, VA passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Springtree Health and Rehabilitation Center of Roanoke.  He was born to the late Hollis Sutherland and Maryanne Southern Phipps on Feb. 19, 1960, during a snowstorm at Waddell Hospital in Galax, VA.  He will be laid to rest alongside of his parents in Lebanon Cemetery in Elk Creek.

Leo, commonly referred to by his closet friends, leaves behind his beloved uncle and side kick, Robert Phipps.  Their last conversation included Lee proclaiming Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, giving Robert the blessed hope of seeing him again soon.

Lee leaves behind cousins, Allen Roseberry, Kelly Elliott, Michael Phipps, Tracey Cummins, Jason Phipps, Joe Oxentenko, Michael Oxentenko, Terresa Oxentenko and Tim Oxentenko, along with a very special friend, Renae Simms.

Graveside memorial services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Lebanon Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Sutherland officiating.
