Mrs. Leta Marie Ward Farmer passed away in the early morning of January 10, 2026 at her
home. She was born to Greene & Fay Ward on October 7, 1935.

She was a dedicated wife for 69 years, loving mama and a one-of-a-kind granny.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara and son-in-law,
Cody.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Farmer, Jr.; daughters, Sue & Charles Testerman,
Karen Wingate and Patricia Farmer & Kenneth Sharp; granddaughters, Amanda & Greg
Moore, Sarah & Jeremy Trimble and Renea & Jake Dowling; great-grandchildren, Abby,
Carson, Hannah, Levi, Lane, Clay, Jace & baby boy; brother-in-law, Rex Farmer; nieces,
nephews and special therapist, Ian also survive.

Leta leaves behind memories filled with kindness and love and always had a smile on her
face. For 22 years she worked in the school cafeteria and was Granny Leta to more than
just her own. She was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed spending time in her sewing
room as well as crocheting. She also could be found working in the garden, tending to her
flowers or cooking in the kitchen. She was a lifelong member at Peach Bottom Primitive
Baptist Church and faithfully attended. Leta was a true friend, always helping others and
never put herself first.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Reins-
Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the
service. Burial will follow in the Saddle Creek Cemetery.
