Lettie Dell Sexton Moxley, age 85, of Independence, died Jan 9, 2018 at the Twin County Community Hospital.
Mrs. Moxley was born October 9, 1932 in Elk Creek, Virginia to Charlie and Sena Miller Sexton.
She is survived by two sons: Larry and Louise Moxley of Independence, Virginia and Kenneth Moxley of Dublin, Virginia; three brothers: Paul Sexton of Wytheville, Virginia, Silas and Betty Sexton of Bean Station, Tennessee, and Gerald Sexton of Galax, Virginia; one sister: Betsy Wynn of Wytheville, Virginia. Four Grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Friday afternoon at 2:00 at the Brush Creek Baptist Church in Independence with the pastor, Rev. Eddie Roland and Rev. David Osborne officiating. The family will gather at the church at 12:30 to receive friends from 1:00 until the hour of service. Interment will follow at a later date at the Shiloh Cemetery in Twin Oaks, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Talmage "H.T." Moxley.
