Mrs. Linda Spencer Richardson, age 72, went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2025. Linda enjoyed life and the people in it, always willing to be a helping hand to anyone in need. Her Faith in God has been her guide and inspiration; her favorite bible verse is John 3:16, "for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son for who so ever believeth in him should not parish but have ever lasting life."  Linda loved her family and friends as God loves the world. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and sewing in her sewing room. Linda also enjoyed taking trips to West Virginia with her daughter Julie and son-in-law, George, and her husband, Lowell, to ride four wheelers. Linda will be especially remembered for helping her friends  remember a special day, birthday, anniversary, wedding with her custom designed cakes. Linda had special place in her heart for her cat "Bunny", whom she loved to spend time with. Linda will be missed by many, but her good works will live on.

Those left to keep her legacy a live is her husband Lowell Richardson of the home; two daughters, Jennifer and her husband Alan of Sparta, North Carolina, Julie Burton and her husband George of Speedwell, Virginia; one grandson, Landon Dowell and wife Samantha of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter, Caitlin Dowell of Sparta; one great granddaughter, Adaline Dowell of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; one sister, Freda Barker of Warrensville, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

On September 11th Linda reunited with her parents John Troy Spencer and Helen Weaver Spencer as well as her brother Kenny Spencer, her sister Pat Wyatt, her Brother-in-law, John Barker and her sister-in-law Geneva Spencer. A memorial service will be held Monday September 15, at 1 pm at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Tom Vestal and Rev. Randy Loveless. There will be no formal visitation.
