Linnie Lee Boyer went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, February 28, 2018 at Grayson Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Independence, Virginia. She was 92 years old.
She was the only child of Samuel Hale Gentry and Wilma Vaughan Gentry.
She is survived by three sons and spouses: Samuel C. and Debra Boyer, Roger and Joy Boyer all of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Phillip and Starlena Boyer of Independence, Virginia.
Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Elton Boyer, 12 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 1 Great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Rev. Paul C. Boyer and grandson, Joshua Craig Boyer.
She told many times about when she was saved at age 21 in July, 1946.
She was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church where her husband served as pastor for 25 years.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Brush Creek Baptist Church; interment in the Brush Creek Cemetery to follow. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 prior to the funeral.
