Lisa was born to Ruby and James Worley on September 6, 1964 in Virginia, the state where she lived her whole life. She was the youngest sister of her three brothers and one sister. Lisa was saved to Christ at the Buchanan, Virginia Baptist Church in April of 1974.

Lisa met and married the love of her life, Dale Aiken, in 1983 in Springfield, and their daughter, Candice, was born in Springfield.

Lisa was successful in all aspects of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, and family member. In her education, she completed not only her high school diploma, but also went on to attain three associate degrees: Legal Secretarial Skills, Secretarial Administration, and Paralegal Studies. Then she got her bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Government and International Politics. All her degrees were completed while she was working outside the home and caring for her family.

Lisa's last position was as a manager in the Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice.

Lisa was also a successful athlete. She completed 19 Marine Corps Marathons. Her car has a "Marathon Mom" bumper sticker, of which she was very proud.

From the time of her salvation at age 10, Lisa remained steadfast in her religious beliefs, her church attendance, and her belief in a homecoming with God in the afterlife. She is home now, and if even one of us holds her in our hearts and memory, she is alive.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, May 28, 2024 at the Pine Branch Cemetery on Kendrick Road in the Fox Creek Community of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia.

The graveside and burial are being entrusted to Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, VA.
