Lloyd Raymond Byrd, age, 87, of Independence, Virginia died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his home.  He was born September 1, 1931 in Flat Ridge, Virginia to Wayne and Alma Ward Byrd.  He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife Glenda Parks Byrd of the home; two daughters: Deranda and Dennis Roop of Troutdale, Virginia and Terrie and Scott Lewis of Purcellville, Virginia; grandchildren; Dustin Roop, Sabrina and Matt Fidler, Vanessa Lewis, and Makayla Lewis; one great-grandson, Zachary Fidler.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday night at 8:00 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, Virginia by Rev. Roger Boyer and Rev. Doug Halsey.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 7:00-8:00 PM.  Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am at the Honey Grove Cemetery in the Flat Ridge Community.  Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home is serving the Byrd family.
