Lois Ann Goodson, age 87, of Galax, Virginia died Wednesday evening, Dec 12, 2018 at the Blue Ridge Home Healthcare in Galax, Virginia.  She was born 03/23/1931 to Johnny and Hattie Houck Bourne in Independence, Virginia.

Ms. Goodson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law:  Rita Ann and Jeff Spivey of Garner, North Carolina; two grandchildren and spouses:  Joshua and Katie Spivey of Clayton, North Carolina and Keeley Shea and Matt Tarkington of Raleigh, NC; one great-grand daughter, Elizabeth All Spivey of Clayton, North Carolina; two special nieces:  Joyce Lynn Holderfield and Shirley Evans both of South Carolina.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday morning, December 17, at 11:00 AM in the  Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, in Galax, Virginia by Rev. Ernie Smith. There will be no visitation.

The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association 355 Reo Road West,  Charlottesville, Virginia 22901
