Lois Geneva Cornette Hash, age 83, of Roanoke, VA formerly of the Fox Creek Community, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Cardinal Senior Care Center in Roanoke.  She was born on June 18, 1941, in the Fox Creek Community of Grayson County to Olen and Ida Izra Anderson Cornette.  Lois was a successful self-made businesswoman owning and operating "Night Moods, Waterbed and Furniture" on Williamson Road in Roanoke for over 30 years.  She was a smart money manager and was always on the lookout for a deal!  She was a celebrated – self-proclaimed – non apologetic "thrifter" who knew how to save a dollar!  She was a hard worker who delighted in providing for her three boys.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy C. Warren.

She is survived by her three sons, Edsel Gwynn and Penny Hash of Elizabeth City, NC, Olen Craig Hash of Roanoke, VA, Gavin Boyd and Melissa Hash of Vinton, VA; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in the Pine Branch Cemetery in the Fox Community.
