Lorraine Claire Higgins Phipps, age 91, of Wytheville, Virginia died on December 16, 2020 at the Carrington Place in Wytheville.  She was born on October 11, 1929 in Titesville, New Jersey to Walter and Rose Deeks Higgins.  She was the widow of William Neal Phipps.

She is survived by two sisters, Helen and Raymond Anderson of Allentown, New Jersey and Carol Nady of East Windsor, New Jersey; special friend and caregiver, Lisa and Billy Shupe of Crockett, Virginia.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Fox Cemetery in the Fox Community of Independence, Virginia by Rev. Jack Rutherford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Baptist Church in Rural Retreat, Virginia.
