Lucy Marie Hoffman Roberts, age, 81, of Troutdale, Virginia was welcomed into paradise by a host of family and friends following her passing at her home on the early morning hours of June 11, 2022. This great prayer warrior was born in Grayson County on March 30, 1941, to Claude Marshall and Alma Rose Anderson Hoffman.  Lucy professed her faith in Christ at a young age and spent a lifetime in joyous service to her Lord and Savior.  During her career in the health care services, she was given many opportunities to share the love of Christ.  She was often found praying for the patients and encouraging them in their own spiritual walk.  She was a proud and loving wife, faithfully devoted to her husband since July 10, 1960. As a mother she was loving and nurturing and found great joy in providing for her family.  She was especially proud of her grandchildren and loved providing for them.  One of her happiest days was when her grandson answered his call to the ministry.  When she wasn't reading her Bible, she enjoyed working in her flowers and doing kind deeds for other people.  In years past, she enjoyed the company of her two dogs, Prince and Sprout.  While her family mourns this loss, they are comforted in knowing that earth's loss has been Heaven's gain.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband of 62 years, Raymond L. Roberts of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Belva "Bev" and Randy Jones of Troutdale, Virginia; granddaughter, Kayla and Eric Poe of Abingdon, Virginia; grandson, Rev. Johnathan and Samantha Jones of Troutdale, VA; great-granddaughter, Madalyn Jones of Troutdale, VA.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnathan Jones, Rev. Rickey Miller, and Rev. Kevin Hopson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery in the Bald Rock Community.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
