Mack B. Halsey, age, 77, of Winston-Salem, formerly of Mouth of Wilson, the Grassy Creek Community, died on April 10, 2022, at the Hospice House in Yadkinville, NC.  He was born on September 24, 1944, in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia to William R. and Verdie Virginia Pendry Halsey.  He was a truck owner/driver with his career spanning over 30 years working for several trucking companies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Halsey, sister-in-law, Lou Halsey, and brother-in-law, H.P. Adams, Jr.

He is survived by one brother, Ronald (Rye) Halsey of Hamptonville, NC; two sisters, Musetta (Sis) Adams of Mouth of Wilson, VA and Shirley (Polly) Arnold (Malcom) of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law, Betty Halsey of Murrells Inlet, SC; special caregiver, Whitney Shore of NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 14, at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Halsey officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.  The burial will follow in the Grassy Creek Cemetery.

The family request that food donations be taken to the Grassy Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the committal services.
