Margaret Ruth Day Marsh, age 75, of Lewisville, NC formerly of Ashe County, passed away on Feb. 6, 2025, at her home.  She was born on March 11, 1949, in the Smethport Community of Ashe County to Herbert Garland and Margaret Grace Jones Day.  Margaret was a loving sister and aunt.  She studied interior design and worked at Hanes Textile in Jefferson. In more recent years she was employed at Havertys Furniture in Winston-Salem, NC.  Margaret was a gifted salesperson.  She enjoyed her work as long as her health permitted.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William "Bill" Marsh on April 11, 2024; three brothers, Russell Day, Herbert Day, Jr., and Rhondle Day; four sisters, Louise Hart, Shirley McMillan, and Debra Price.

She is survived by one sister, Wanda Bare of Jefferson, NC; one niece, Cathy and Vel Pierce, of West Jefferson; two nephews, Gary and Susan Day of Sparta, NC; David and Michelle Hart of West Jefferson; great nephews, Jacob Day of Durham, NC, Jason Pierce of Jefferson, NC, Brian Hart, Nathan Hart and Jamie Hart; one great niece, Brittany Karnaukh of Charlotte, NC.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson, NC with the Rev. Lloyd Day officiating.
