Margie Lee Combs Bobbitt, age 81, of Independence, VA passed away at her home on Friday, July 21, 2023.  She was born on August 30, 1941, in Independence, VA to James Clyde and Rosabelle Catron Combs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bryan Combs and one sister Elizabeth Combs Hall.

Margie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be remembered for her rhubarb pie!  As long as her health permitted, she attended the Springfield Church.

She is survived by her husband, John Bobbitt of the home; two daughters, Rebecca and Michael Anauo of Fries, VA and Janice Lineberry of Independence, VA; one son, J.W. and Pamela Lineberry of Independence; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nephew, Terry Combs; nieces, Margaret Ann Latchaw, Myra Combs, and JoAnna Combs also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Summerfield Cemetery 4681 Carsonville Road Fries, VA 24330 with Rev. Doug Fleming officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice 1477 Carrollton Pike Hillsville, VA 24343 or to the Summerfield Cemetery Fund 138 Springwood Lane Fries, VA 24330.
