Marlie Lee McKinney, age 85, of Independence, Virginia passed away at his home on November 12, 2019.  He was born April 1, 1934 in Elk Creek, Virginia to Rose Lessie McKinney.

He is survived by his sister, Margaret Marie McKinney Reeves of Independence, Virginia; several nieces, nephews and companions, special great-niece, and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November, 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Reins- Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Dayle McKinney with the burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Independence, Virginia.  The family will receive friends one hour preceding the funeral service.
