Mary Ruth Brinegar, age 95, of Independence, VA, passed away June 19, 2018 in Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was the widow of Talmage Brinegar. She was born to Herbert Holdaway and Sarah Holdaway

Surviving, Daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Rick Young of Mouth of Wilson, VA; son Larry D. Brinegar of Independence, VA; two grandchildren Anthony Young and Malika of Austin, TX and Tiffany and Chris Shreve of Deep Gap, NC; three great-grandchildren Ethan Young, Ella Young and Isaiah Shreve

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, June 22, 2018 in Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. David Osborne, Rev. Frank Jones and Rev. Rick Young officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. preceding the funeral service. The burial will follow in Pine Branch Cemetery, Fox Creek Road, Mouth of Wilson, VA
