Minnie Viola Pilkins Anderson, age 94, of Troutdale, Virginia died on February 23, 2022 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center, in Independence, Virginia. She was born on April 30, 1927 in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia to John Marshall and Maggie Huffman Pilkins.  She was preceded in death by her husband,  Jessie A. Anderson and her son, Lewis M. Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by one son, Daniel G. Anderson of Staunton, Virginia and a daughter-in-law, Linda C. VanHuss Anderson of  Independence, Virginia; four grandsons, William Keith Anderson of Troutdale, Virginia, James S. Anderson of Independence, Matthew P. Anderson of Staunton, Virginia, Jeremy L. Anderson of Charlottesville, Virginia; seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Anderson will be remembered as a person who loved life, enjoyed a good laugh and a good argument!  She was a talented seamstress who used her skills to help out family and friends.  She was a devoted Christian whose shadow has not faded but lingers in her family.

Funeral services will be private and a private interment will be held at the Anderson Cemetery on Rockbridge Road in the Flatridge community.
