Minnie Pearl Smith Shinault, age 76, of Independence, Virginia died, Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Hilltop Home For Adults in Independence.  She was born July 28, 1943.

She is survived by one brother, Russell Smith of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; niece, Mary Wells Hatcher of Raleigh, North Carolina; and her guardian, Evonne Woodie of Independence, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Mountain View Baptist Church in Independence, Virginia by the pastor, Rev. David Osborne.  Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Independence, Virginia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
