Naomi Jean Perry Gamble, age 77, of Independence, Virginia died Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She was born October 23, 1941 in Rugby, Virginia to Walter and Lorraine Duvall Perry.  She was the widow of Ralph E. Gamble.

Mrs.  Gamble is survived by her daughter, Debbie Royal of Independence, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Rena Gamble of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Adinah and Loren Shumate of Konnarock, Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe S. and Dianne Perry of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia; four grandchildren and spouses; Chad and Brittany Gamble of Independence, Virginia, Jessie and Justen Whitaker of Galax, Virginia, and Alisha and Grant Lambert of Newfoundland, Canada, Shannon and Dillion Williams of Fries, Virginia;  four great grandchildren, Myleigh, Arizona, Jordyn and Cade and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 30, at 2:00 PM at the Rein-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Duvall Cemetery in Rugby, Virginia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
