Nicie Elizabeth "Debbie"  D'Amore, age 88, of the Elk Creek Community passed away at the Carrington Place of Wytheville, VA on Sunday, May 7, 2023. She was born in Brevard, NC on August 21, 1934, to Dennis and Laura Pressley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Campbell and Edna Kiple; her brothers, Charles "Mickey" Massey and D. C. Pressley. She was a devoted mother to her son, Mario, who also preceded her in death. She was a lady of great faith who loved attending Pine Mountain Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a person who loved life and was good to all people. Her family and friends are rejoicing that she has been reunited with all her family and greatly comforted in her testimony of her faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in the Jerusalem Cemetery in Elk Creek. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
