Norma Jean Cochran age 61, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Grayson County, Virginia passed away on Feb. 1, 2025, at the Grace Davis Hall House in Ocala. She was born in Hartford County, Maryland on December 27, 1963, to Clark and Norma Richardson Cochran.

She was a loving daughter who graduated from Independence High School in 1981.  Following her high school graduation, she expanded her passion for horses to a professional level showing and training horses.  She later moved to Florida assuming a position as Manager of American Janitorial Inc, a professional cleaning service in Ocala, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother, Norma Virginia Cochran of Florida; 2 brothers, Michael and Janet Miller of Woodlawn, Virginia and Robert and Ella Miller of Galax, VA; one sister, Patricia MacDowell of Seaford, Delaware; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Crab Creek Cemetery in Ennice, NC.
