Ola Jean Reedy Scott, age, 92 of Grayson County passed away on April 23, 2024, at the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center in Independence, VA.  She was born on December 28, 1931, in the Husk Community of Ashe County, NC to James Wiley and Belva Testerman Reedy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Howard Jackson Scott, son-in-law, Earnie L. Reedy, Sr.; brothers, Charles Reedy, Lacy Reedy, Elmer Reedy, Thomas Reedy and Wiley Reedy; sisters, Mae McDaniels, Irene Ashley and Celia Littlewood.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Reedy of Rural Retreat, VA, Jane (Wayne) Bodge of Jasper, GA; grandsons, Earnie (Nancy) Reedy of Rural Retreat, VA, Eddie (Peggy) Richardson of Jasper, GA; great-grandson, Scott Reedy of Wytheville, VA; brothers, Warren (Louise) Reedy of Hickory, NC, Dean (Linda) Reedy of Winston-Salem, NC, Ray (Ann) Reedy of Clemons, NC; sister-in-law, Barbara Reedy of Winchester, VA; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Private graveside services will be held at a later time at the New River Cemetery in Grassy Creek, NC.
