The Reverend Olin E. Shupe, age 88, passed peacefully on May 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  The son of Marlin and Aline Shupe, he was born in 1936 in Spring Valley.  A lifelong Christian and an ordained minister in The United Methodist Church, he endeavored to encourage people in their faith.

Olin was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers, Rev. Arlin Shupe, Vivian Shupe, and Rev. Bill Shupe; and their precious sister, Vera Sue.

Olin is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his son Myron Shupe and his wife Catrinna, his daughter Marcia and her husband Randy; along with his beloved grandchildren, Kurt, Angel Shupe, Carrie Shupe, Ellie Shupe, and Jake Shupe.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Atkins Memorial Church, Fries, on Sunday, June 1st at 3:00 pm. The family will welcome friends at the Church an hour before the service. Military rites will be conducted by the Grayson County VFW Post #7726 and the United States Army at the graveside.  Memorial donations to the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
