She is survived by daughter, Betty Louise Haulsee of Damascus, VA, sister, Mary Alice Cornett of Damascus, VA , one brother Lee Pennington of Galax, VA; two grandchildren and spouses, Velva and Don Ross of Flatridge, VA and Christine and spouse David McNew of Rocky Mount, VA; three great grandchildren and spouses, Sarah and Adam Phipps, Ben and Katy McNew of Rock Hill, SC and Adrianna McNew of Rocky Mount, VA, one great grandson, Stephen Ross of Flatridge, VA preceded her in death

Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 3:00 P.m. in Green Cove Baptist Church. Interment in Green Cove Cemetery. The body will l ie in state at the church one hour preceding the funeral service where friends may call
