Patsy Ruth Taylor, age, 88 of Independence, Virginia, died on December 6, 2020 at the Carrington Place in Wytheville, Virginia. She was born in Independence on January 30, 1932 to William Fred and Louise Bowers Phipps.  She was the widow of Ralph D. Taylor.

She is survived by cousins,  Frankie Phipps of Independence, Virginia, Joe Mack and Dorothy Taylor of Wytheville, Virginia, Mark Taylor and family of Wytheville, Virginia, several other cousins also survive, goddaughter, Karlie Meagher; special friends, Stella Rhudy and Phyllis Price both of Independence, Virginia.

Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Independence Cemetery with Rev. Terri Johnson Gregory officiating.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital 950 West Faris Road  Greenville, SC 29605.
