Paula Jean Sexton Warren, age, 57 of Independence, Virginia died on March 24, 2022, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.  She was born on April 8, 1964, in Groten, Connecticut to Thomas Harvey and Maxine Bobbitt Sexton.

Paula will be remembered for her friendliness, crafting abilities and love of sports.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a dedicated member of Grubb's Chapel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Sexton and her mother-in-law, Wilma Warren.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Darrell Wayne Warren of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Lori Warren of Elk Creek, Virginia and Jonathan and Jaime Warren of Independence, VA; her mother, Maxine Joyce of Kernersville, NC; four grandchildren, Everlee  Warren, Dawson Warren, Riverlyn Warren, and Luke Warren; two brothers, Harvey Sexton of Galax, VA and Chris and Laura Blose of Pilot Mountain, NC; one sister, Grace and Scotty Harmon of Galax, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 at Grubb's Chapel Baptist Church with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until the hour of service.  The Rev. Ben Tidwell will officiate, and burial will follow in the Grubb's Chapel Cemetery.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to the Grubb's Chapel Baptist Church.
