Mrs. Pauline Dowell Reedy, age 86, passed away at her home in Independence, Virginia on April 8, 2019.  She was born on August 19, 1932 in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia to John and Rosie Blackburn Dowell.  She was the widow of Jack Reedy.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanie and David Hodges of Galax, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Berlinda Reedy of Radford, Virginia; four grandchildren, Travis Reedy, Amy Bonds, Christy Weseloh and Chad Hodges; three great-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dixie Reedy of Mouth of Wilson; brother-in-law and spouse, Bobby and Barbara Reedy of Volney, Virginia and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, Virginia by the Rev. David Trent and Brother Ed Hall.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in Rugby, Virginia.
