Peggy Ruth Long, age 69, of Laurel Fork, Virginia formerly of the Grubb's Chapel Community died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC.  She was born on October 7, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio to Kermit Herman and Curtie Virginia Mooney Long.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Titus Duane Long; half-brothers, Kernal Lee Long, and Kermit Long.

She is survived by half-brother, Bobby Gene Long of Robbins, NC: several cousins; special friends, Donna Cole, Carol Anderson, and Carolyn Long.

At her request there will be no formal services conducted. Reins-Sturdivant Funera Home in Independence, VA is serving the Long family
