Peggy Marcella Marlow Lynch, age 86, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 11, 2023, at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. She was born on May 14,1937, in Lincoln, NC, to Carrie C. and Clarence Marlow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and four brothers. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 66 years, Charles Lynch of the home; one son, Mark Lynch of the home; two daughters, Sharon and Jerry Archer of Mooresville, NC, and Barbara and Dale Cagle of Mooresville, NC; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Peggy was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. Having graduated as valedictorian from West Mecklenburg High School, Peggy exemplified her commitment to academic excellence from an early age, and this dedication translated into her roles as a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother. Love, devotion, and commitment to her family defined Peggy's life.

Peggy was a wonderful cook, bringing joy to family gatherings through her delicious meals. Her hardworking nature and knowledge of farming reflected her connection to the land. Peggy's commitment to education was demonstrated through her role as a member of the PTA, where she served as president, and was also a dedicated teacher's aide. Peggy was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Elk Creek, VA, where her kind and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she knew.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church in Elk Creek, VA, with Pastor Jeremy Farley officiating. Burial will follow in the Comers Rock Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
