Mr. Porter Herbert Noblett, age 88, of Independence, VA, the Pine Mountain Community, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 in Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA

Mr. Noblett was born November 5, 1929 at Fries, Virginia to William Early Noblett and Cora Mae Porter Noblett. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Besides his parents he is also predeceased by a sister Shelby Noblett and two brothers R.J. Noblett and Junior Noblett

Mr. Noblett is survived by his wife, Bonnie Perry Noblett of the home ; daughter and spouse Judy and Harold Nelson of Galax, VA, son and spouse David and Debra Noblett of Fries, VA, granddaughter and spouse, Ashley and Matt Rippey of Galax, VA, one great-grandson Logan Rippey of Galax, VA, one step-great grandson Garrett Rippey of Galax, VA, granddaughter and spouse Ashley and Matt Rippey of Galax, VA, a great-grandson, Logan Rippey of Galax, VA; a step-great grandson, Garrett Rippey of Galax; two sisters Kathy Perry of Galax, VA and Mary and Harry Smallwood of Elk Creek, VA; a brother Paul Noblett of Rocky Mount, VA; two sisters-in-law Ona Faye Noblett of Galax, VA and Shirley Noblett of Fries, VA and several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2018 at the
Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Fries, VA. Rev. Garry Adams and Rev. Lee Thomas will officiate. The family will receive friends
at the church one hour preceding the service. Interment to follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions be made to Elk Creek Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 130, Elk Creek, VA 24326
