Randall  Orville  Sutherland, age, 74  of  Elk  Creek,  Virginia  died  at  his  home  Friday night.

Mr.  Sutherland was born on Jan. 24,  1944 to Ward and Hazel Roberts Sutherland who preceded him in death.

Mr. Sutherland  is  survived  by  his  wife,  Hilda  Osborne  Sutherland  of  the  home;  one  daughter  and  son-in-law, Emily  and  Bryan  Crouse  of  Crumpler,  NC;  one  son  and  daughter-in-law,  Patrick  and  Lily  Sutherland  of  Elk  Creek,  Virginia;  sister,  Shirley  Gray  of Myrtle  Beach,  SC;  four  granddaughters,  Lauren  Smith  (Cody),  Kaitlin  Houck  (Tyler),  Laken  Calhoun  (Carter),  Ashlyn  Sutherland;  three  grandsons,  Will  Crawford  (Ashley),  John  Crawford  (Charli),  Boen  Crouse;  four  great  grandchildren, Cooper,  McKinley,  Lilah, and Canaan.

Funeral  Services  will  be  conducted  Sunday,  December,  2,  2018  at  2:30  PM  at  the Reins-Sturdivant  Funeral  Home  Chapel  in  Independence,  Virginia.  The  burial  will  follow  in the  Comers  Rock  Cemetery  in Comers  Rock,  Virginia.  Officiating  will  be  Pastor  Patrick  Sutherland, Pastor  Caleb  Gober,  and  Pastor  Jimmy  Hall.  The  family  will  receive  friends  from  12:30-2:30  prior  to  the  funeral  services.
