Rebecca Yvonne Wooten Catron, age 73 of Independence, went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2025, at the Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. Born March 27, 1952, in Grayson County to Leonard McKinley Wooten and Katherine Hash Wooten, Rebecca could be described in one word, humble. She was full of love and loved her family unconditionally. Rebecca enjoyed being at home gazing out her window with a good cup of coffee. She loved watching all nature, but she preferred hummingbirds and deer. Her faith in the Lord was steadfast. Rebecca always welcomed guests at her home with a warm smile and a hot cup of coffee.

Rebecca is survived by her husband Ralph Catron of the home. Two Daughters Denise Brown of Sparta, NC, Dana (Dean) Billings of Glade Valley, NC. Five Grandchildren, Brittney (Tyler) Moore of Fancy Gap, Mikala (Otto) Alley of Galax, Luke (Brea) Marsh of Glade Valley, Mason Brown of Sparta and Tevin Long of Sparta. One Sister Audrey (Danny) Tolley of Fries. One special Sister-in-law Joann Odum of Independence. Rebecca is pre-deceased by her father and mother, one sister, one brother,  great-grandchild Payton Sawyers, and her beloved dog, Annie.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 15th, 2025, at 4pm at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
