Rena Gay Weaver Hash, age 90, of Madison, VA passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.  She went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Grayson County in the Whitetop Community on September 18, 1934, to Joey Iron and Mayme Agnes Wilcox Weaver.

Rena was an avid gardener, who loved being outdoors in her flowers.  She served the Lord all her life and read her bible daily.  Her favorite verse was John 3:16.

She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind; her sons, Roger Hash (Melody), Richard Hash (Brenda), Jeff Hash (Pam), and Kevin Hash; her daughter, Anita Brown (Larry); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Rena is now in heaven with all of those who preceded her in death; her beloved husband, Wayne; her parents; her brothers, Rex, Ralph, and Billy Weaver; her sister, Helen Tillman; and great granddaughter, Shelly.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 12:00 Noon at the Whitetop Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Lundy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
