Richard Glenn Sparks, 66, of Sparta, North Carolina passed away, Saturday December 2, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Sparks is preceded in death by his parents Arvil Glenn and Pauline LaRue Sparks, a sister Morma Jean Sparks, two special great nieces, Skylar Marie and Willow Mae Farmer.

Mr. Sparks is survived by two sisters, Nora Helen Sparks and Edith Roten (Jerry) of Sparta. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. He is also survived by a much loved little friend, Kaitlyne Keller.

A thank you goes to Bonnie Carol Jones and Fay Holcomb, great friends and help to Richard in many ways and to Mountain Valley Hospice and wonderful staff.

A celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The family requests donations be made to that in lieu of flowers
