Mr. Shaw was born at Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Robert L. Shaw, Jr. and Mary Lee Wright Shaw.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alison Elaine Shaw

Survived by his wife, June Kirk Shaw of Baywwod; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Rachel Shaw of Independence, VA; mother-in-law, Elaine Kirk of Independence, VA; niece and spouse, Wendy and Travis Gunter of Troutdale, VA; nephews and spouses, Butch and Kim Shaw of Fairfield, VA and Jared and Julie Shaw of Sparta, NC; three great-nieces, Audrey Shaw, MaKayla Gunter and Grace Shaw; one great-nephew and his buddy, Caleb Shaw and numerous cousins and friends also survive

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 9, 2017
in Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Chapel, Independence, Va. Interment in the Shaw Family Cemetery, Baywood, VA. Rev. Darrin Brannock will officiate.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. preceding the funeral service.
